Tailor

Cloth cut to the person, not the person to the cloth.

Why the human is the point

Bodies are not standard, whatever the size chart claims. A tailor measures the actual person (the shoulder that sits lower, the arm that moves for a living) and cuts cloth to the truth of them. Pins in the mouth, chalk on the shoulder seam, a garment built around one human being. In a world of medium, made-to-measure isn't luxury. It's accuracy about a person, practiced by hand.
