Why the human is the point
A quilter turns scraps into a plan, then a plan into something a family sleeps under for decades. It is design and patience together: choosing the fabrics that hum next to each other, piecing them true, then stitching the three layers into a surface that holds warmth and memory in equal measure. Every quilt is a set of decisions a person can point to, this print from a dress, this pattern for a birth, these hours given on purpose. That is why quilts get passed down and cried over, because someone chose every inch of them. They gather people too, at guild tables and sewing circles where the making is half the point. The quilter is the reason a blanket can carry a whole life in it.
