Before anything is built, a person decides exactly where the world's lines really fall.
Why the human is the point
Every building, boundary, and road begins with someone getting the numbers exactly right. The surveyor stands in the weather with an instrument and a lifetime of care, fixing where the land actually is against where the map says it should be, so that walls meet and neighbors agree and the tunnel lines up from both ends. It is judgment measured in millimeters, with real consequences if it is wrong. The satellites give coordinates. A person decides what they mean on this ground, today.
