Saddler
A saddler builds by hand the one thing that has to fit both horse and rider perfectly.
Why the human is the point
A saddle sits between two living, moving bodies, and it has to be right for both, or neither is comfortable. The saddler chooses the hide, cuts it clean, and stitches each seam by hand so it will take years of weight and weather without giving way. This is work measured in whole afternoons, the awl, the two needles crossing, the slow rhythm of a saddle stitch that no machine seam can match for strength. Under the leather is real knowledge of anatomy, of balance, of how a rider actually sits. The saddler makes something that fits, holds, and only grows better with every year of use.
