Reflexologist

The patient pair of hands that reads a whole body through a single foot and leaves you lighter than you arrived.

Why the human is the point

There is an old, human belief that the whole of you is mapped into your hands and feet, and that care applied there ripples everywhere. A reflexologist works from that map, thumbs moving over each point with a pressure that is firm, unhurried and deeply attentive. What they really offer is a rare kind of focus, a stretch of time in which another person's entire attention rests on easing you, with no rush and nothing else asked of you. The touch is careful and kind at once, feeling for the tender spot you did not know you were guarding. In a world that keeps you in your head, being met so completely through the body is its own quiet medicine. You leave feeling not just relaxed but somehow accounted for, tended by a person who took their time.
