Muralist
One person turning a blank wall into the thing a whole neighborhood looks up at.

Why the human is the point
A wall is public, which makes painting one an act of nerve as much as skill. The muralist works at the scale of a building, up a ladder in the weather, turning grey concrete into something a street decides to love or argue about, but cannot ignore. It is art that belongs to everyone who passes, made by a person willing to sign a neighborhood. A printer can output a vinyl banner. It cannot climb the scaffold and give a place a face that people take pictures in front of for years.
