Gardener

Someone who thinks in seasons and kneels to work in one.

Why the human is the point

A garden is a promise made to a season you can't see yet. The gardener holds that promise with their knees in the dirt, reading soil the way sailors read weather, thinning here, waiting there, failing some years and planting again anyway. Patience with living things can't be downloaded. It has to be kept, one spring at a time, by someone who shows up in the rain.
