Why the human is the point

Drag is hours of craft, the sewing, the painting, the choreography, spent to walk out under lights and hold a room by sheer nerve. The performer reads the crowd, works the moment, and turns transformation itself into a live art that a camera flattens and a room electrifies. It is confidence as performance, made once, for the people who showed up. A screen can stream a lip-sync forever. It cannot give you the heat of a real person, in a real room, daring you not to cheer.
